Don’t feel insecure about your age, I hate how the industry has normalized anybody over 20 is wack/washed. producing is a hobby and should be treated as such, you shouldn’t feel like you gotta stop enjoying it

Wish I learned piano at a younger age cause I have to count halfsteps every time I make scales n chords within them

That just comes with time man! Don’t count yourself out on it bc you’re older. It’s just like learning the basics of a language. Also give it some time and you’ll start to memorise it all muscle wise and your fingers will just feel it out and know what they’re doing

Ya I know. It's just frustrating at times. I play with apps on my phone while at work to try n learn it and it's been helping. I also think my akai lpk25 is too small for my hands lol

I want to release more music but, the fact that I know that you need to pay for promotion to get any worthwhile views, ruins the excitement of releasing music. And, yes, I've gotten my music into a few respectable blogs before. I just feel like - to get listeners - you need to have a lot of money or know the right people to push your music. Unless, of course, you're one of the extremely lucky (and also very talented) artists that were at the right place - at the right time - that got discovered by someone within the business.
