    For sure! They just aren't utilized in hip hop as much.

    Its actually being used a bit more in rap now (still very little in comparison to an 808) since people are tryna make drake / 40 type beats and 40 gets a lot of influence from uk garage where the reese is used a lot

    Gonna be going for a neo soul sound soon and this is the best vid ive watched that explained how neo soul chords are made

    Many vids just show the chords and not how they came up with them

    I’ve always been curious about making hip hop style beats. Mostly low fi trap style beats. Do I have to take a course in music production or learn a lot about music production to dabble into this? Do all I need is a drum machine? I have an iPad. Is that good enough?

    yo i'm a new producer, i got beats and all but where do you actually start posting???, how do you promote without being corny, etc i got completed beats on my laptop waiting to be heard, only my close friends have heard them, i'm also sample heavy too and i'm not trying to be sued or anything
