So I just started using Ableton, and damn this s*** feels weird going from FL to Ableton, anybody knows how to maneuver on this s***.
Doggggg just wait till you get that workflow down. It’s a wrap after that. 5 beats a day type s***.
Rap is cool but think I'd rather be producing RnB. Anyone have any advice?
I produce mostly RnB these days, what type of advice you looking for?
You gotta have some knowledge chord progressions for sure
feedback strongly appreciated fam
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYMFuXxBYUo&feature=youtu.beHonestly the lil african drums threw me of and i think it would throw a rapper off too.
Also I think some tape stops in the beat would take it up a notch.
You download a free tape stop plug-in called " dblue tape stop"

I like the loop and the synths you added on top of it.
The drums sound stiff to me . The pattern is simple, which is not a bad thing at all, but as everything is on the grid (especially the hats), it lacks swing.
Same with the overall arrangements, it’s a bit predictable. You could play with adding/cutting little elements during the verses etc to bring a bit more life and variety.
It’s a cool beat overall!
anyone know if producers get a cut from music videos on YT? how much is usually the cut?
Any singer/songwriters? feel like this needs lyrics. I'll send the stems
Also if u can lmk what this beat is missing or could be better would be dope :) (synth wave)

completely dependent on what u agree to, different for everybody but normally yes bc it counts as streaming and yt is calculated in streaming plays for artists
what yall think, a vibe or nahh? feeback would be clutch
It's a vibe ! Really dope R&B beat, just needs great vocals on it!

feel like a crash or something would help after the tape stop, the drop just seems kinda weak
i dont like tape stops until after the artist hops on it anyway bc it can be awkward to flow on the drop for some ppl and it’s an easy thing to do while mixing the beat
