bbbbbbbJust came across the most interesting trick for working with drum breaks
gonna see how I can transfer this some 87bpm after finals Essentially: get a drum break, rearrange it with the hits you want. Save that.
Then duplicate it and distort/compress the f*** out of it followed by a transient shaper into a limiter. Bounce that.
Take the new distorted layer, send it to a bus where there is a F0 sine wave playing from another channel. Distort them hard together, then cut below like 1k hz. Now u have a sick "ride" layer
Then u can rearrange the white noise/distorted layer in the break to layer with the original hits, making it feel distorted as hell, but it's actually not
