don't give up. colorado is just going through what both the caps and the lightning went through over the last decade. great regular seasons for years, leading to 1st/2nd round exits over and over. just like the caps/lightning they'll break through eventually.

nhl playoffs can be so wacky sometimes and lucky bounces/calls have a lot to do with it. avs have too much talent, so odds say theyll get those bounces one of these years

lightning did it different than the caps imo. i feel the same about the caps as i do st. louis, seems like they had one shot and capitalized on it, but after that they went back to their usual early round exits. tampa stayed a threat, and probably will continue to be for at least another year or two

if we're being real there's a good chance montréal is one of those "one shot" teams too hope they make it count
