the ps4 can run games like TLOU/Death Stranding/Horizon/God of War, I will be absolutely blown away if the switch 2 is able to render that level of graphical fidelity + complexity would be unreal

The public does too, since its the most successful console they've ever made, in software and in hardware its only second to the ds, but with better legs, and still outselling the new gen in its 6th year, in May for example!!!
PS4+ power is enough for Nintendo games to shine through and through, if dlss is used too then even better. 3rd parties you wont get in switch 2 you can get in other consoles.
Look at how pikmin 4 or Metroid prime remaster look like on switch hardware, now imagine ~ 4 times (and more) the computing power what'll do

Nobody gives a f*** about your anecdotes, hybrid console is good for the average player. “I drive my own car” congrats rich guy, some of us take the bus or train or rapid transit or whatever. There’s tons of scenarios where you might need portable. The plane, a friends house, vacation, etc.

I play my console in handheld 90% of the time, especially in my own home :)

About how as long as we get upscaled 4K @ 60FPS via DLSS, that’s all we want in a next gen console

But the PS5 & Xbox Series can’t even do that NOW. You want 4K? You have to enter performance mode and lock the game at 30FPS

So I think we shouldn’t get our hopes up if next gen isn’t EXACTLY what we all want

I think 1080p at 60 handheld AND docked is more realistic

But of course, I want that upsacaled 4K Switch obviously
