You better camp out early if you want the chance of meeting Doug Bowser

In years past, has it been possible at the NYC store to pre-order a console and pick it up? Or is it really like camp out and first come first serve type deal? That sounds rough tbh but I would love to go at a console launch for the chaos and excitement

For Switch, I believe it was both: a batch of units for preorders only a couple of months before launch (around the time of the Switch Presentation in January), and another batch for those lining up early in front of the store near launch day.
Watching live sports on TV while playing an RPG on Switch is one of my most fave ways to play the system tbh
Next week finna be watching the French Open (tennis) while playing Paper Mario

Yea, switch is really in the culture.
There is that Sabrina Carpenter song that references it in the main chorus.
Switch 2 will be bonanzas if they knock the reveal out.

Damn, you made me listen to Sabrina Carpenter
But true about Switch having cemented itself in pop culture

It really is crazy how much the Switch really got intertwined into the culture
So many people that wouldn’t normally play video games, bought a Switch and are actually playing games
It’s pretty dope tbh
Only a thing Nintendo could do

Classic song I’m afraid
Not hating on the KTT fam btw @ShinNohara
It’s just that I’ve never met up with someone from the Internet. Don’t know how that kind of s*** might turn out

Yep you can’t escape Nintendo’s allure. Even for a gamer who’s only interested in mature-looking games, you give them a controller to play Mario Kart, Smash, Mario Party, etc. and they might end up enjoying it.
While Nintendo is the most mainstream-friendly gaming brand, I still see PlayStation being the preferred brand when showing a video-game controller in say, a commercial for an electronics retailer or a random TV series. Maybe it has something to do with Switch also being a portable and the Switch Pro controller not being as ubiquitous?

Honestly, I tend to stay away from the f***in weirdos on this site. There’s a lot of them for sure
Maybe I’m naive, but I feel like I can always tell apart the normal dudes from the f***in weirdos on this site
And as far as I can tell, all the regulars ITT seem pretty normal to me

Tbf i think we're at a point in time where its impossible for switch 2 to fail, even if it got a dumbass game like wii u had. They managed to exponentially grow almost every main Series they have, they got theme parks and movies, keeping the same "gimmick" and form factor, i think only a huge price increase could hurt it but i dont expect Nintendo to ever sell a console above 400/450$ max

Which Wii U game are you referring to?
Direct hype begins:
Lowkey I’m pumped for this new Direct based on the prospect of seeing Prime 4 and a new Fire Emblem remake

If I the FE remake ends up being genealogy of the holy war I am going to be so fkn happy. it badly needs one but is still easily one of the best games in the series

I also think at this point, the average consumer would be able to identify the next Switch as a separate product rather than an extension/addon that many thought the Wii U was. But idk if that was even a big reason why the Wii U failed
