Edit: the dock technically can output 4k 60fps but the switch doesn’t so the feature on the dock doesn’t even work. Maybe it works on switch 2

It should be emphasized that the lack of 4K output on a dev kit doesn't automatically mean that the system won't support it. Console development kits don't often fully match the specs of the final system. For example, some dev kits could offer more memory to allow for better debugging and leave out features that don't impact testing too much like, in this instance, a 4K output

I like portable gaming for chilling in bed or on the couch but im not playing my switch in public ever

But if the switch 2 can’t output 4k like the oled. Then we can’t play 4k. Like on the oled it’s impossible even though the dock can if that makes sense cause the system don’t support it

Well I never got the Nintendo Switch but I am considering getting the Nintendo Switch 2... But I still haven't decided if I want to wait until the OLED version is out or get the one coming this year and then get the OLED one as well once it drops in the next 3-4 years... Anyway we'll see what happens tomorrow fam as that Nintendo Switch 2 Direct might either make me wanna wait or get it ASAP!
