It sucks but this is what happens
A $60 game in 2017 in 80 dollars today anyways adjusted for inflation. They don't make games to lose money on them
Too bad America voted for a burned economy and now the world has to pay for it
I was saying this to my girlfriend about this, but she rebuted back saying why does the inflation cost drop to the consumer when majority of the industry can't reliably drop a working game on launch. The ceo's and managers need to eat the costs with paycuts since the game developers aren't getting paid more.
Plus, physical copies are technically not the actual game instead being a license key.
So I'm kinda back on the notion that games need to be $65 at worst and not $80.
On one end i get the complaints. but on the other end, i don't really care much about them.
i'm not talking about ppl ITT. just online complaints. havent read through the thread
Wasn't the live chat/discord function looking like it was lagging on the debut?
I think people are worried about wasting time on that s***, when the hardware is still technically a generation behind.

You could tell her the market isn't supposed to be fair to consumers and thats because it still makes the corporations more money. The system sucks but this is a byproduct of it, more people should be outraged at governments destroying the economy and pushing a system that obviously hurts consumers by design

I brought that up too, but I don't think either of us were wrong since this is a multi-layered discussion on economics and video game industry state of pushing $500 million game development like it's sustainable.

It's not sustainable lol nothing is right now
Would be cool to see people get angry enough to push for change but I'm sure all were going to see is internet complaints, nothing even happened with egg prices aside from that
I'm pretty annoyed about it but I'm not going to pretend like we all didn't know games would jump to 80 dollars this year anyways based off the GTA talk. inflation always catches up and every corporation will take any advantage they can of that

i think the criticizing the quality of the chat feature itself is a fair criticism.
Personally im never using it itself.
I'm more so speaking on posts i see thats just criticizing the feature coming so late in itself, and not speaking on its quality

10x probably WITH dlss
Yall think going in store to GameStop is the best way to pre order this s***? Imma try online too ofc but I feel like there may be a better chance in store?
10x probably WITH dlss
Does it change anything for us tho? 4k dlss is not much different from real 4k, especially from dlss 3.0 onwards

I mean will make 4k viable on the switch with DLSS.
Even if this is DLSS 3.5, 4k DLSS looks better than native 4k while running at lower resolutions internally.
Will just make this thing be able to run better games at higher resolutions.
But like I still don’t expect 60fps cyberpunk. I think DLSS will be used strategically for Nintendo games to hit 4k.
In handheld mode DLSS will have little effect
people mad about the prices are getting annoying. Its like 20 extra bucks when the games actually been getting cheaper over the years
I think ppl are just mad about the principle that a game could be anything other than 60 bucks rather than them not actually bein able to afford it

Yeah 60fps for most current gen games is out of question, not happening unless they have specific performance modes that lower resolution a lot. But it would be still a fantastic console for what it is, a handheld with an HDMI out port. Star wars outlaws is on here, it cant run on last gen or steam deck
managed to get a pre order placed with very (UK)
You in America or UK? Wonder if I can try to place a pre order in another country lol
Edit: damn nvm seems like you need a UK post code to register for the site
Hogwarts legacy on switch 2 runs 1080p 30fps portable, 1440p 30fps docked but upscaled to 4k with DLSS 2.0. Someone im watching live talked with the technical director of the game at the event in Paris
$80 - $90 is a good price for first party Nintendo games. And also probably a good price for Kingdom Hearts 4 and top tier AAA games.

Personally I think they should charge $120
Personally I think they should charge $120
Some games go for $120 now so those games may bump to $140 dare $150 now.
