given how small the cartidge is, they should really further shrink the packaging
The Vita has the GOAT size for packaging IMO

Yeah I dunno why they need the box to be so big when the cartridges are so tiny. Just a waste of space and material. Would be cool to see something smaller in the future if they continue using cartridges.
The price for the game is soul crushing but damn does Mario Kart World look so damn good.
So many creative course ideas in the game and the only Mission mode aside from DS.
I was mad af about that $80 price and I guess in my head to justify it, just look at the industry:
All these AAA studios are releasing buggy messes with half the game and selling you the rest for it as DLC or micro transactions. Or the full game isn’t on the disc / cartridge
Nintendo? They sell you a flawlessly running game with 100% of the game content on day 1. The full game is on cartridge. Nintendo actually cares about what they’re making as art and not just a product
So if anyone could be an a****** and sell you a game for $80? I think Nintendo gets a pass
Or maybe I’m a stupid Nintendo fanboy lol

Nintendo doesn't drop their game prices over time though and the main advantage they had over Sony/Microsoft was handhelds, accessibility, and price.
If $80 games become a new norm for even party games like Mario Kart, it's not really a good sign in the long haul.
I'm not saying that the games won't be good but it's not going to turn World into the universal experience that 8 Deluxe was/is.
PCs and Steam Decks bout to claim the gaming throne in 5 years lol.

Well to them it isnt waste of space, they want to occupy as much shelf space as possible to be noticed by customers. I do wish they would add something like old school instruction manuals or something like it to justify the size tho
I think I’m gonna go to a Target at 5am on launch day to try and double up on a Switch 2 console
Why double up?
my walmart pre order still says arriving by june 5, but i would really appreciate if the status went from "placed" to "preparing" asap
less of a profit than you think
only like $110 per unit after fees
basically makes my $530 after tax switch $310
im working the day the switch 2 ships out 💔💔💔💔
11 years of the s***tiest item distribution system in all the games. good riddance. i cannot wait for World.

Too many red shells that are so overpowered compared to the other game and people not losing their items when the fall is was a bad change. Plus the coins being useless.
Played last night: me in second has a red shell, throws it, hits first, im still in second, get a damn coin, get in first, guy behind me... has a red shell. lose.
it's so boringly predicatble, then you have the people item bagging.
these are most online complaints. my biggest hope is the netcode is way better because that's a big sore spot.
I didn't know the Switch 2 has a pin-code screen lock feature to keep your little cousins away from accessing your system. Pretty neat.

I’m with you man. Even though Nintendo always has high quality releases for their games on day 1, I’m definitely still upset at $80 for Mario Kart World. Yea I “justified” it but that doesn’t mean I’m okay with it lol
Play 3rd party sellers like Best Buy / Walmart / Target will eventually put Switch 2 games on sale so people definitely don’t have to pay $80 for it. It’s just patience if you want to wait for that to happen
