Got a prebuilt with RTX 3090 and i9-9900k processor through CyberPower. Nothing broken and I got it for the same price of buying the parts individually. Haven’t gamed on it yet but I’m noticing sometimes over a 2x speedup in training my machine learning models vs the RTX 6000 I use at my lab. Luckily electricity is free at my apartment bc I’m drawing 370 watts for 8 hours a day.
I can't wait until a RTX 3090 Ti is announced... I really need that one!
😳😳😳

looks great
looks like the 3080 wins overall in 4k and the 6800xt wins 1440p
I honestly don’t care much for current gen ray tracing its underwhelming hopefully next gen GPUs are better, Ampere is definitely better though if you want Ray Tracing but I’d rather play in higher FPS.. I think all cards will get much better at RT after more optimization is done
excited to see how Super Resolution will compare to DLSS tho in the coming months.. I hope tons of games get up scaling support the current library is too small
@husky how long did it take you to put assemble your PC? I just convinced my ex to get the same case, but we read that the instruction manual is lacking and it's confusing to set up

What do you mean by done?
the prices sites are selling partner cards at for new AMD & Nvidia cards at is insane
$150+ over msrp?
newegg is now doing bundles also
this always seems to happen at first tho especially with launches with more limited like this
guess the retailers and partners just figure they’ll get scalped anyways
What do you mean by done?
that performance and price point for the 3060ti is just so good it wipes everything before it

Yeah that makes sense. Hopefully it’s readily available cause my friend was gonna sell me a 2070 super for $425 but ima hold off

i gave my brother my pc a year ago or so and he wants to upgrade some parts to be able to play games like overwatch, subnautica etc. @ 144fps+ (overwatch does ~75 on lowest settings currently) for up to $400
any advice? haven't followed parts/prices in years so just looking for some input
