u gotta understand that foreign leaders lie abt this s*** all the f***ing time. US goes on a "X country did Y bad thing" kick for a couple years, and to seize the clout, the accused country "owns up to it". Look at Gaddafi if u don't believe me. And a lot of the time, the accusations are false and the leaders who claim responsibility are lying their ass off. Not to mention that Russian leaders are practically always strategically lying, even when they're not dealing with the US.
Did Russia influence the 2018 election? probably. But a Russian official speaking on it is not the "case closed" type of evidence u seem to think it is.
This was the 2016 election
Going to be interesting to see how the Dems will shift things after this beat down
They need to find a way to disassociate themselves with the woke Twitter Cancel Culture stuff that the voting population is associating them with. It’s not appealing to pretty much every mainstream voting block, and very repelling.
Also get focused on plain economic focused messaging like Bernie has been talking about in his Op Eds.
yea Dems gotta fully adopt policies that make life easier (cheaper) for the average middle class American. Student loan relief, socialized healthcare, etc. And fully commit to taxing the rich, not the middle class. Get thru everyone's heads that these changes will save the average person money.
Republicans can run the culture war ads all they want but money talks. If Dems can promise to keep more money in people's pockets, I think they might see more success. Engaging on BS culture war s*** is a losing battle, by even acknowledging something like CRT they give power to the GOP
This was the 2016 election
russia's got interest in the geopolitics of the whole world. Maybe it's because of their past as a former major world power, but Russia's uniquely concerned with other countries' politics. They run the troll farms and social media bots in order to influence US political culture, no question about it. Are they successful though? I mean there's literally no way to meaningfully measure their influence. Personally, I believe it's minimal, almost negligible, but they've def been on it since 2016, maybe even before then.

I'm just saying you said 2018 election in your post but the tweet specifically was talking about 2016

word well it applies to both anyways

It’s been proven, don’t need “case closed evidence”

yea like I said Russia definitely did that s*** but some Russian official saying "yea we f***ed around w the US election" is nothing to go "oop" at. Like they'd probably say that regardless of if they actually did anything.
But to twitter-brained individuals, the words of russian officials hold a lot of weight (as long as they support the democrat ideology).

You’re going out of your way to turn this into a dunk on Democrats lol
Lol this could get interesting
Lol this could get interesting
elections from 2016 on will be extremely interesting until a breaking point.
Florida can be called already
Charlie Crist had zero chance of beating DeSantis here
but he might get smoked worse than I thought
Who is kevin mccarthy?
republican house minority leader and potential next speaker of the house
distancing themselves wont help anything bc the right will paint them however they want to and the dems seem to roll over when it comes to messaging. the fact that anything resembling care for social injustice is deemed "woke" pejoratively is a representation of that
the dem party isnt even that left and yet the "lesson" they learn every time they drop the ball around election time is "we went too progressive". like they dropped nearly all police fund reallocation initiatives as soon as Biden took office but the GOP still says that's the dems are trying to fire all cops and their states are full of crime. here in tx, every GOP ad was about funding the police and border patrol because Biden and the dems were slashing the budgets
the problem with dems is they try to appease the right more than they do the people that actually vote for them
i mean do you think that the republicans saying something that is a lie in an advertisement convinces as many people as when they say something that is true
dr oz better not win and f*** that football player too
i mean do you think that the republicans saying something that is a lie in an advertisement convinces as many people as when they say something that is true
i think that republicans will say whatever will anger and galvanize their voter base, which turns out to largely be lies, and i don't think the dems should base their supposed platform off of how the gop decides to represent it but i live on earth so
Republicans already calling this rigged and saying "they're cheating" when the majority of those in charge of elections in that County are republican lol
