Wait what? I thought King Nas and Cripple were done back in 2016 and always meant for Wave (correct me if I’m wrong), but I know their remakes was done early 2018

Dec 28, 2019I love T&Y and Drogas Wave but after revisiting Food & Liquor and The Cool I hope the lyrics on SKULLS are a little more linear, empathetic and relatable..
The way he’s been rapping since like 2014 has been unbelievable and I do enjoy trying to break them down and fully understand them for the most part but sometimes it can be too much.
That’s one of the reasons why some fans of the old Lupe still not f***ing with albums like T&Y and Drogas Wave even though they’re his best albums musically. His more cryptic and non linear storytelling is not connecting with them like a Hip Hop Saved My Life or Kick Push did..
