CBR/FSR 8K @ 30 FPS? Yes. Some games been 60 FPS? Yes... A few at least. Native 8K though? I don't think the new games but the PS4 ones and maybe some PS5 ones especially the launch games.

There is a giant chip shortage right now. And 8k gaming at 30FPS is not even a common place on the highest of graphics cards right now.

There will be a mid-gen refresh. But it will not be for 8k games.

Exactly. I think either 2 of the GPU's of the one inside of the PS5 or maybe a new one which I hope is what they'll be doing. So some RDNA 3 or 4... Some are saying it might be RDNA 4 which I hope it's what Sony will be using and putting inside of that PS5 Pro besides a newer AMD CPU or an OC'ed one of the current one. But I want a new CPU tbh

yeah plus AMD should be on 4nm by then they could go with a much larger GPU and have it be about the same size

honestly the current CPU is pretty insane already for gaming not sure if they'll do that big of upgrades on it, maybe they'll just make it smaller / cooler to add a bigger GPU like they did with PS4 Pro

Yessir exactly... I am no matter what happens expecting something better than what they did with the PS4 Pro. And I wouldn't mind them using 1 more year on making the PS5 Pro so it's on par or better than what the mid-gen refresh/upgrade will be for what's next after the current XSX

@Kr0niic Hasn't planned? It's in R&D since late 2020 at least famo... Maybe even 2019. The question just is if they'll ignore MS and release it in 2023 or wait 1 year more and release something more powerful... Which I hope is what they'll be doing.

but yeah as I said in my post it probably won't be native 8k which means it will upscaled in some way

the extra performance could be 2x by then though which means it should run almost all games at 4k 60 with no upscaling or 4k 120 with upscaling

but yeah that's true it could be a while but I bet they'll do now that these consoles are just PCs same reason we got more upgrades last Gen.. the R&D is far lower to do Pro models and they have nice markup

As of right now. Fidelity FX is about the same as checkerboarding upscale performance wise. Both very subpar compared to DLSS which won’t come to consoles due to AMD.

Hope AMD can improve fidelity FX though. First version of DLSS wasn’t great

3 years away? Save a dollar a day and you’ll be able to cop the pro, the accessories, a few games at launch
