Damn that is cheap, is that GST included? In NZ we pay GST included and also pay for a consumer warranty fee or whatever the f*** it is called for expensive electronic s*** that gives us a warranty off the bat.

Warriorof course they will. A 4k bluray disc reader can only read at about 18 MB/s. Thats slower than the ps4 harddrive which was 50-100 MB/s
The new ssd is gonna be going at 5.5 GB/s. So unless you want your games to take a few mins just to boot up, it has to install to ssd

The external SSD you get will have to be faster than the PS5's internal SSD which runs at 5.5 GB/s without any bottlenecks unlike open market SSD's which will not be as compatible with the PS5 hardware.
So an external SSD with the same speed of 5.5 GB/s as the PS5 SSD wouldnt actually run at that speed it would be much slower cuz it wouldnt be optimized like the ps5 ssd. So the solution is to buy a ssd with a much higher speed than the ps5's so that even if its unoptimized and loses speed due to bottlenecks it will still run decently fast.
