So i chose the Samsung Q80T instead even though the CX is slightly better

praying the ps5 natively outputs 1440p, but it doesn't seem like that's the case. would rather get a 4k monitor i can use with my pc instead of getting a big ass tv

1440p is more of a PC thing. Consoles are in bed with selling 4KTV displays so they're not going to adopt 1440p resolution unless devs patch that option in for their games.

How did Sony not send Mystic a PS5?

I don't think it should have any problem with native 1440p. Should be a simple display setting.
