hey im just responding to the nonsense you were talking about on the last page, if you don't want it don't post it.

and no, drake would not bar up with either of them, it just wouldn't happen

Okay lol I think everything you saying about drake is nonsense but go off

One of the most underrated rappers of all time

  • ROLF

TSU is one of my favorite songs on the project and argument that the relationship is coercive/toxic can definitely be made ngl it’s not like drake left those lyrics up for interpretation it’s pretty obvious what’s going on

    Exactly lol

I’m not even tripping off that song but Fantano’s take on it is kinda valid

  • SHAQUILLE

A central theme of tylers album was catching feelings for his homies 19 year old GF. He was a 30 year old man at the time of this drop btw

CLB is the same s*** Drake been talking about for damn near a decade but its still more mature content then CMWYGL

This dude made TSU, Child’s Play and Jaded which people keep saying is about Jorja, he not much better if we wanna use this argument

Yeah, Lauryn Hill was never as good as a rapper as Drake is though

And 3 stacks never went this far with the R&B and melodies

And this is what I'm saying. He's such a unique talent that he'll always fall short if you try and box him in as the next Hov or Nas, or some s***.

Lauryn Hill towers above Drake in terms of rapping. Listen to Family Business.

Mos Def is a better rapper and singer than Drake, Drake isn't THAT unique of a talent

I don’t agree with CLB getting a 3/10 but I still like fantano. He obviously is not high on drake right now (last several albums) and thats okay. I like drake but I don’t feel like his music is beyond criticism

Exactly. I don’t like the album that much but I’d give it a 5 or a 6 if I had to but I see where he’s coming from with certain points lol but people act like this shot is beyond criticism which is weird

Here’s the thing, this is one of the points brought up in the review. Me I know what it is in that industry.

But the discussion that the other dude is tryna tell me is that niggas is tryna force a narrative when that is literally what the song says lmao

No nigga clearly your comprehension skills are poor. I’m not saying people are trying to force a narrative. I literally Said he’s BEEN making songs about this so obv it’s his REALITY.

The point is, why tf is it so off putting to you when hella other rappers you like talk about transactional s***with women.

And just like how it’s his reality to rap about it, reviewers got the right to not wanna hear that s***.

And I hate when other rappers do it too lol what now

3 stacks did? He made a whole r&b album. i think the love below is a classic.

As a song, Hey Ya is just as classic as any song Drake's sung like Hold On or Hotline or 1 dance. And the album tracks on Love Below are great too. Andre actually goes through a lot of types of R&B on The Love Below. There's big style gaps between songs like Hey Ya and She's Alive or She Lives in My Lap.

Andre did go deep on that album though. And Drake has never really made a whole R&B album like Andre, or tbh Ye.

As I say there's massive gaps in style on The Love Below, that it's not like he's only doing one type of R&B. I think that album equals the amount of R&B Drake's explored across his albums.

It was way more of a leap for Andre and an innovation for hip hop when he did it too

Using money to get women and the s*** that Drake talking about in this song is two different things lmao

The song is about a woman who wants to get her life together and start her business but can’t because her parents cut her off lol and Drake know that she broke so he’s like

“Ok gimme some p**** and I’ll put you on”

The nigga literally says “run me some head and I’ll throw you some bread”

That is not that different from a Hollywood producer getting chicks to f*** him for movie roles but

I find this perspective interesting. For you, is this similar to future/other rappers talking about giving money to women they have s***with to blow on items, or talking about buying things for these women? Just curious and I have no skin in the game.

I don't really disagree with all that you're saying. I love the Love Below.

But Drake has made real R&B, like slow jams for over a decade. Not necessarily 1 full LP, but its present in bulk on every album and in between cycles and it's been there for over a decade.

So when I say he took it further than Stacks it's because of that. He's an actual R&B presence. Half of the most popping R&B acts of the last decade attribute their careers to drake (among other R&B acts as well obviously )

Like I could probably make a playlist of Drake R&B over the last 11 years that spans like 50 songs or something crazy like that which is insane given the fact that he's a rapper.

There’s songs where niggas is like “oh if I like my woman / love my woman imma spoil her” which is a different narrative.

But the whole s*** that Future and them niggas be doing where it’s like “Oh f*** me to get this Birkin / these racks” always rubbed me the wrong way lol especially when these niggas be having female fans and younger male fans who gonna think that s*** is okay
