how doI do that? by debugging? do I need sidequest for that?
Yeah, the oculus debug menu is dope. It's under program files, and the oculus support diagnostic folder. You could f*** with the encode bitrate, curvature, etc. It's great with the link
thoughts? better than Virtual Desktop?
Reporting back, can indeed say it might be better. Air Link has higher highs in terms of bitrate compared to virtual desktop, and the dynamic shifting of it is much smoother (there's dynamic and fixed bitrate options, up to 200 mbps. For comparison, I use the debug tool with the cable Link to get 400 mbps). It did a way better job of keeping the performance steady for me anyway, which is key. Virtual desktop used to stutter for me on certain games, so the first ones I tried were ones with high motion (gorn, pavlov, jet island, etc) and as far as I can tell, I saw way less dropped frames and stuttering. The latency is great too. It's not perfect of course, there's always gonna be a little unless your WiFi setup is airtight tbh. But I think the oculus network architecture has more wizardry behind it that is definitely smoothing over some of the hiccups that VD wouldn't, and so I'd imagine that the visual quality/performance would scale very well with amazing internet (I'd say mine is pretty good, not fantastic). It also seemed to have an easier time launching games, virtual desktop used to f*** up sometimes on that front. All in all, they went in.
Glad to see this thread is still bumping. It’s only a few people right now but I think those who are into it are highly dedicated as I am! This is the next shift in technology that will change everything

Got mine about a month ago, seems like I got in at a fantastic time. Good amount of sales, more and bigger announcements cropping up, and now this Air Link s*** is making the whole s*** even crazier
Anyone knows where to get free games for oculus quest 2.
applab.games (visit this link on your actual quest web browser, should be able to install the free ones directly)
And then pirating stuff and then using air Link/the link cable/virtual desktop is always gonna be viable. As far as I know, pirating quest games and putting them directly on the headset to use standalone is very difficult

Thanks for the thoughtful review, will cop this asap
I think it's time to get a link cable aswell to pimp it out through debugging and make use of my 2070 super
Probably get a couple of these too

But nah, the official link cable some overpriced bullshit tbh, you can find a 3.0 usb pretty easy on the cheap from Amazon. The youtube niggas suggest great ones

Just got my oculus a few weeks ago. Pretty fun. Don’t have a pc so happy to hear about this droid app. Going to try and set that up with my tablet.
New overwatch type game called larcenauts, drops this summer, cross buy/play and allat, looks crazy. VR needed something like this
Level progression gives stat boosts tho, and each character has their own leveling not sure how I feel about that
when we all meeting in vr chat
Let me put my thigh highs on and practice my female voice

vr chat gotta be the most cursed place ever
hate how fast the quest dies
like they said it had 2 hours of battery life but i can’t play for more than like 1 hour and 20 minutes
vr chat gotta be the most cursed place ever
Try PokerStars
It has the value of meeting new people and having conversations with them but they're not even close to as f***ing weird.
Almost all of my experienced on there have been positive. Just mute the children.
VR chat is fr too weird. It feels like a world where 12 year Olds are now 29 and never grew up. Every single person I even remotely connected with that seemed semi normal had absolutely no life outside of the game and literally were in vr chat all day everyday so I assume they didn't even have jobs
