In the telling of his story Busta always says that BIG was using a walking cane and his leg was all f***ed up. That he couldn't get up to the second floor of the studio without an elevator because of it.
That was after his car accident with Lil Cease. That was a few months after Pac died. I initially thought it was before Pac died because of how Busta always told the story. But saw a documentary a few weeks ago that put it together. Unless Busta is lying or just doesnt remember correctly--but BIG with the leg f***ed up post car crash was post Pac death.
Makes sense when you really listen to his verse--"and the winner is, not the thinner kid". BIG is claiming victory after the man died
Wow, that's f***ed up. Allegedly the car accident happened on the 13th September '96, the day Pac died
“Niggas talk a lot of s*** but its after Im gone cause they fear me in the physical form”
Exactly what Biggie did lol
the OG hit em up is cool but also makes me appreciate the official version more because the energy difference is so essential

timestamped Nas talking about the sessions and he also says Big had the crutch because of the car accident

Would be crazy if it was really same day
I do remember hearing somewhere that he was really upset the day of the crash so maybe you are right
How many songs was pac writing and recording every day bruh
This is out of Pac's own mouth, he said on average he usually records 3 songs a day.
Who shot ya?
who knows but they got ya
Fed up, wet up ...
maybe next time yo punk ass will keep yo head up
How many songs was pac writing and recording every day bruh
His process was wild too lol
He'd record vocals + the ad libs and would not hear the final version. He'd just go "next" and they'd start working on the next track. Supposedly when he got to the studio the next day he'd listen to the tracks they worked on the previous day as finished mixed and mastered records.
And for features he'd have everyone in the room write a verse and he'd pick the best one
Its a BIG and Pac Sunday on KTT
OG Hit Em Up ft Outlawz
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39LZlzQfWU0While the final version's intensity, beat and intro are too iconic. I love some of the lyrics on this version. "Cross eyed Down syndrome crack baby"
Lil Kim--Big Momma Thang
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfqB9xZumeIAye Kim did her thing on this
BIG didn't let her releases this but gd he should've! lol end of that last verse is insane
Faith Evans also put in a body bag lol
Busta Rhymes ft Biggie and J Dilla--The Ugliest/Dangerous MC's
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrS3JJ6yfe4Honestly this is one of my favorite verses in rap history. Recorded in 96 AFTER Pac had died. Biggie went on several victory laps, but none as direct and clear as this one. Busta said he didn't write a single word down, went into the booth and laid down the verse in one take. Did the adlibs second take and left. Coldest mf ever man
Busta told Big there was no way he was ever going to release this. Came out posthumously but with all Pac references rapped over/edited out.
2pac-Watch Ya Mouth

Dont forget the OG cover/tracklist artwork for the 3 day Theory

I wish they would've kept "When Thugz Cry" on the official version of the album. That song is so damn good.

Yeah man, Pac was a f***ing machine lol
The most influential and most iconic rapper of all time.

OG version of album highkey crazy

Long Kiss Goodnight is basically a victory lap over tupac dying
Long Kiss Goodnight is basically a victory lap over tupac dying
Yup. And he references it all over the album too. "The most shady"
So basically, Biggie recorded two diss tracks (The Ugliest & Long Kiss Goodnight) aimed at Pac AFTER he died, but was too scared to have that same energy to diss Pac when he was alive and calling Biggie's name out every other day lol
Don't get me wrong, Biggie was a dope rapper, but a part of me can't respect you when you want to take the easy way out by waiting for someone to die first, now you want to play tough guy by making diss tracks aimed at a dead man who can't respond back to you. Straight sucker s***.

Whole Bad Boy approach was shady af tbh. The Bad Boy mixtape released just after Hit Em Up dropped was chilling. Here are some of the last recordings left

"all the people asking me how I feel or what we're gonna do..LISTEN again...Bad Boys move in silence"
"I will survive, be it dead or alive I will be the winner"
"ill put a million on your head"
