i mean s*** yea true but if u look at 90s rappers like wu tang those guys were nerds into comic books cartoons and s***, ice cube was never really out there but his WHOLE thing was leading gangsta rap. Cube was a college graduate artsy guy that liked writing. Pac was a dancer that loved the arts who only got "hard" after jail and suge.
i think its just they are rappers, most didnt grow up in great environemnts or are emulating, as u said, the music they listened to or prolly their friends. they prolly had friends like that but were just regular bad nerdy kids, or in the case of someone like LONE or summrs or autumn its EXACTLY as u said. guys from suburbs be outside to try to feel hard all the time tho or cuz of their family, and carti's brother was definetely like that, so i dont like making assumptions cuz its not like hes supposed to tell you and there are nerdy guys in that get involved all the time.

That’s fair if it added but like my whole point right is throughout all of rap history people play up how hard they are or front as if they are something they r not. PAC was not from anywhere, he was not even originally from LA, he he just adopted a persona later in life when he was alr a millionaire. Cube was literally THE poster child gangsta rapper and he was an educated artsy guy that never did nothing. Rick Ross was posing as a d*** kingpin when he was LITERALLY the police.

If rappers weren’t lying, you would have a genre full of actual killers and d*** lords. Truth is, even guys that rap about that s*** exaggerate it to all hell, these are ARTISTS these are PAINTERS. I do get having an issue with him rapping a set later in life and going this hard sure, but this has been a thing throughout history rappers be lying and carti even if he was originally from suburbs def could’ve participated in the s*** he saw his brother do all the time and he surrounded by people like that considering it was in his FAMILY.
