Funnily enough, I think Ye's still paying the consequences for 2022 to this day.
Ironically, besides the nitrous s***, Ye hasn't really moved all that funny in recent times.
He has apologized for the Nazi stuff in Hebrew, limits his media presence, clears out his IG on the regular, the Big Boi and Justin Laboy interviews were a massive improvement from his cringe late 2022 interviews that aged like sour milk, and he's basically traveling the world.
Even the lawsuits that came out were based on his 2022 behavior which didn't get exposed yet.
So, in a way, Ye today is actually an improvement of what he was like in 2022 but we just don't even know it yet because of how damaging it was.
even those interviews were cringe. especially that la boy one

he legit took nitrous just before it the texts are out there you have to put a tax on that
2013 ye interviews were like
Y’all know Rudolph the red nosed reindeer? They laughed at him cause he was different. Then I realized I was mf Rudolph the reindeer. I was the star the whole time

Rudolph was just another star in a story that outlives him. Same with Kanye. These things existed before them and will exist after them, but thank you for your massive effort
As I said before, though, rappers in general are pretty bad and awkward at interviews.
Even my GOATs, Nas and Wayne, be sounding completely incoherent at times when they do interviews despite how clever they sound when they rap.
Jay's older interviews were pretty bad too which still shocks me today. Hov not only would ramble and talk in circles but he'd be sounding shy af, like a kid doing an unprepared presentation in class.
He leveled up on the recent interview with Kevin Hart though. Not the most coherent but he sounds way more confident and rambling less.
Say what you want about him but Drake's Rap Radar interview is probably one of the best rap interviews I've seen in a while. You can tell bro used to be an actor for real lol.
the whole world went to s*** in 2012.
And with Ye at the forefront of modern culture, he sorta embodied the chaos (unnecessarily)
why 2012?
why 2012?
not because of anything superstitious I just "feel" like that was the year everything went into hyper drive socially, politically, technologically and economically.

I agree with socially since Trayvon happened that year. What else though? I always considered 2012 to be a good year aside from that
