He was the first rapper to really show me what a well crated aesthetic looked like. Dominated the blogs, i haven't seen anyone top the OF aesthetic since.

Tyler’s lyrics are better now but his delivery is worse
I have this b****** remix on my phone its like chopped and screwed kinda, s***s so f***ing fire. cant find it on youtube
vcr video still one of my favorite music videos
been listening to so much old tyler recently
nightmare >
one of the best songs on goblin too
I mean he's pharrell type beats mostly, 60s n 70s rnb sometimes 90s, very few minor hints of occaisonal jazz n60s Italian music all watered down with boring rapping.
The dark s*** brings it to a different place. It adds new perspective. It's also funny that he's been lifting entire songs since he abandoned it
Wow a 17 year old artist wears his influences on his sleeve when he first begins making music?
I love how at shows he says you wanna hear some old s***, and proceeds to play she and first verse of Yonkers

He still not his own man in 2022

Nah, these songs sound like an eclectic and cohesive blend of influences. But it’s an original product that distinctly sounds like something only Tyler could make

Cohesive to me is often code for unrecognizable, background or boring. This is not quite as instagram filter rap as like griselda but it's still borrowing most of the swag. The rhyming is pharrell but worse. Most of these left field kind of samples were done in the 90s in way that complemented the genre more than this insecure wallpaper rap. No spine
This song actually sounds like doing mushrooms
It's crazy how well he can channel the psychedelic vibe despite being straight edge. Okaga and Garden Shed are insane on shrooms/LSD
Tyler is the modern Caravaggio
lmfao
Idk why it’s so bad Tyler has a lot of influences to some people
No one except God can just will something completely new into existence.
All art is just taking what speaks to you, and fusing it with other things that speak to you and/or taking it in your own direction to tell your own story.
Tyler’s later work is less different than his older work, but it is still distinctly him and shows his personality and style through the music
