Pretty nice little album, definitely geared towards younger audiences with the lyrics and concept, but the music itself is great.

ChildhoodI have to say I agree with a lot of what you said tbh. Like this album is NOT bad at all, but I think it just take so much for a debut Female Pop album to impress after a Pure Heroine or even a Billie.
This project clearly has its own place, and I honestly think a lot of it is my own taste and like I was saying with these debuts and how they need to sort of “reinvent the wheel”, but nothing on here really STUCK outside of the singles which all really are good in the context of the album. Driver’s License sounds soooo good on here like you said it’s probably the best song.
I’m not nearly as invested in the songwriting on here as I’m probably supposed to be lol. Some of the phrasing feels really…. unsubtle if you know what I mean. It’s clearly devastating and all, but… idk it’s missing a little bit of that push.
I have a lot more I could go on about whether it be the obvious influences on here or the production which is too scattered in sound and traditionalist for its own good (but that’s really a whole other convo), but I leave this album upon first listen thinking that the potential is clearly there. I’m definitely gonna relisten though.
