Just watched the movie, that s*** was an absolute spell. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to articulate why I liked it. Just some fetish s***.
Just noticed this was out when i loaded up HBO last night. Can't wait to watch. The film is one of the best the 90s for me so i'm hoping this at least half as good as it.

Maggie cheung’s charisma and beauty carry this. Crazy to think Assayas is pretty much the director in the movie and flew her in to end up marrying her.
Not a big vikanderite myself
Should've got homegirl from squid game or some s***
She would have absolutely killed it
Is the movie good? I have it on my HBO Max watchlist but I’m tryna run through these Wong Kar Wai films first
No

She don’t got that type of magic IMO
Really dug the first episode. Haven't seen the movie yet but its def on my list for the next Criterion sale.
I ended up checking out the first two episodes of the original Les Campires today too. Need to find me someone as beautiful as Alicia who takes pride in braging about watching a 7 hour French silent film series whew
With this show, right away I’m confused, cause they want us to believe the actress was just in this commercial blockbuster. But if there was a superhero movie where a woman cut off the protagonists balls halfway through the film, it’d be the most subversive blockbuster of all time.
I’m always a sucker for hot lesbian s*** tho. The scenes between Mira and Laurie had me bricked af.
I like how the show is following the episodes from the original Les Vampires. This episode covered eps 2 and 3 "The Ring that Kills" and "The Red Codebook".
Can't believe I didn't realize Irma Vep was the letters of Vampire scrambled lol
Interesting that tonight's episode is called "The Poisoner" which is episode 9 in Les Vampires. Are they going to say they need to film it out of order in the story of the show? I have two eps left of Les Vampires so I might try to finish before watching tonight's ep.
Ever since I found out that Laurie would only be in 1 episode, my interest in this show shot down rapidly
So did Thomas Bangalter make any music for this or not?
I couldn't find his name in the credits of this weeks episode. It seems Thurston Moore did the music.

Maybe he'll show up in the last few
