Are they going to heavily trim the source material? Like even with better pacing if this remake is seasonal, which it should be, it’ll literally take decades to finish

Edit: they’re only doing east blue for now. Still tho if it’s extremely successful and they end up doing more this s*** gonna take forever

It will clash with the original. It's two adaptations of the same huge IP in the same medium running at the same time, from two different studios.

Whether that be toei decides to ruin the pacing of one piece even more, since there's already remake and they say f*** it let's just milk out even more, or even voice actor and ost conflicts.

You're looking at from the perspective of a new fan understandably but I'm looking at from an old fan, I want a remake of one piece to be perfect. Even hxh as perfect as the remake was still ran into issues just because the Manga wasn't finished.

If one piece finishes next year, sure not that big of an issue, but the Manga could finish in 2030

HxH has a whole other plethora of issues with the manga lol. The amounts of Hiatuses rivals Berserk. One Piece doesn't have that issue and I've heard it's in the final stages which makes sense why this was green lighted. Also HxH 2011 ran continuously, this is going to be seasonal. That means probably around 24 episodes per season and releases every 2 years. It'll take around 200-300 episodes to get to where the manga is at, they're good bro lol. They got plenty of time

Nah. As someone who never got into the anime or manga because of the length and pacing, this will be a good entry point for me and other potential fans. The timing is good

My initial reaction was that it was redundant but after thinking about it I arrived to this same conclusion.

I had finally gathered the courage to watch it through the One Pace project but now I'm just going to wait for this.
