I do think that luffy isnt gonna be easy for kaido to put down, but when he says he found a challenge and someone hes having fun with i think hes starting to see joyboy in him. At the end i doubt luffy's losing, but its gon take a powerup to make it possible and even believable for me

Honestly, Luffy don’t need to go gear 5 or even 4 at this point as that won’t change the adv coc output. He’s doing fine with Gear 2 & 3 infused with adv coc as that won’t compromise his haki output as 4 would do.

Lastly, awakening after this big upgrade seems to big of a jump rn imo. This is a good place for Luffy’s power creep to sit on.

Kaido isn’t playing around lol, he’s serious the drinking doesn’t make him weaker and it’s an actual fighting style of his. Luffy hasn’t even used Gear 4 yet and he’s basically equal with hybrid Kaido. He may not need a new gear unless Kaido has something else up his sleeve.

Nah, Kaido has shown why he’s the strongest. He’s fought how many people during this raid? And he was willingly taking their attacks before he started dodging Luffy’s punches.

Kaido has extreme durability, from what we know likely the strongest durability out there, that doesn't correlate to being the strongest though. I'm positive Shanks will be stronger than Kaido.

The manga literally states after whitebeard's death that kaido is the strongest creature in the world

Luffy beating kaido like this without any powerup would make him the strongest person alive at the moment (of course we dont know how stronger blackbeard will become because i think he's gonna eventually be the biggest threat, maybe Im too if he can fight), and that wouldnt be believable to me, because in the prior arc luffy had a hard time beating katakuri whos not even close to the power of kaido. Just like zoro and sanji luffy will get a powerup. Whether its the final powerup or not remains to be seen but its impossible otherwise from what the manga has told us

Blackbeard will become stronger than Kaido for sure cause he parallels Luffy and will be one of his finals opponents.

Shanks only considered a maybe for me cause of chapter 1001 when Kaido was asking how high will Luffy go and Shanks was with all the other legends.
