Watched Stampede last night, I'm surprised that it has such a high score on MAL. I thought it was just alright. It ended up just being one big fight and it didn't really feel like that much of a story tbh. The main villains were pretty lackluster. It was cool to see a bunch of different characters come together to take down Bullet and Usopp had some great moments but I felt like it could have been so much more. I would've loved to see more of the festival and see the strawhats get into different antics and just have fun for a while but it turned into the main fight very quickly.
I thought Gold was so much better cause we actually got to explore the "island" a little bit and the new characters were given time to breath. The overall story of Gold was better too cause it felt like the villains actually had reasons for their actions, Nami had a connection to one of the new characters and there was a nice twist in the story. In Stampede it was very much "we're evil so we do evil things".
I just think in an "all out war" as Luffy put it vs the strongest living creature there should be deaths. Kinemon got f***ed up by Kaido and it would show the risks of going against a yonkou plus add some motivation to the alliance side and it'd be a good emotional moment then and after the arc.
Going to war vs an Emperor should result in losing men either way. Oda has to show why they are the impenetrable forces they've been for so long.
Also, for an actual good adaptation the anime should be better than the manga it's just that the anime has been garbage for so long we're surprised when it is. Anime has a lot more tools to show the different emotions and story, if done right it should always be better.
One Piece is an uplifting adventure. Every death is rare and holds incredible meaning to the people nearest to the deceased. They will follow in their footsteps and their character progresses out of that. Oda has made his treatment of death quite clear till this point. The impact of each death is massive.
Now I am not saying Kinemon is save but he is notimportant enough to Luffy in that sense. It would just be a shockfactor.
Now that still might be the case with Momonosuke who knows really.
I am not a big fan of making One Piece this serious but we‘ll see what Oda does. Now if youre caught up to the manga I doubt there will still be a massive tragedy like having a major character die for this arc honestly Its a shounen manga afterall
CR coming through with the full clip and not some less than 90 second nonsense

Need a clip of all the entrances and Sabo/Ace/Luffy scene and we'll be good
@Jake I feel dumb asf for not being able to put this together on my own but what where the things that momo did/said up until the Toki time time fruit reveal that had people thinking he was a time traveler but dismissive of that idea since he is/was a child

Something about being on Roger ship back in the Zou arc when they were going up the tree for the poneglyph.

That's mad obvious now that you mention it cause that mf was doing all of that 20-25 years ago in their world

Bro dropped it so nonchalantly like when Garp talked about Luffy’s family

Oda needs to stop baiting deaths. Either kill someone, or don't.

I was about to say at least with Garp there was a reaction but man there was with this too:

That thumbnail
His head look mad weird there.
These boys came in today

A little smaller than I was expecting but the only other young Law and Corazon figures that go together are like $500. Just glad to have something of these two.
I rarely watch the anime since read the manga ofc, but I'll watch a new ep every now and then and I gotta say Yamato is a better character in the anime than the manga
1048 DELAYED??? now that’s just foul
Hope Oda is doing well, id literally never b able to do what he does even if I DID have the ideas, the creativity, storytelling ability, AND the drawing ability
But bruhhhhhhhhhhhh this s*** hurts

Chapter is officially out next Sunday, right? @Jake
If that's the case I thought that was set for a while because there was going to be a Jump break and an Oda break back to back
