GangstaliciousI get they could get stronger but for Lucci to get to where Luffy is at now without any big feats that the world would know about would be crazy. Luffy beat a yonko has a legendary devil fruit, has conquerors haki and advanced conquerors with future sight. Zoro trained with the world's best swordsman, I don't see how Kaku should be that close with him right.
The others sure they could be stronger than the rest of the crew but I'd rather see new faces than recycled villains. Especially when they hype up cp0 as the harbingers of destruction and they should be at best around straw hat crew level for some of them.He doesn’t have to give luffy the fight of his life they’re probably just gonna squabble. Lucci is a battle genius just like luffy is, it would be weirder if he couldn’t do ANYTHING.
Personally I don’t think the arc is setting up for matchups like zoro vs kaku or even luffy vs Lucci as big arc defining battles. More so everyone is there as chess pieces to be moved around in the ways that are most useful. Remember a CP0 agent managed to immobilize gear 4 luffy so kaido can kill him. Luffy isn’t invincible so there’s all sorts of unforeseen things that can happen

Side note Lucci potentially could’ve awakened his devil fruit and we get more lore / info dumps on Zoan awakenings, something I was desperately hoping for in wano.
Bc as it stands I don’t know that A. luffy understands he’s a zoan B. He knows how to consistently access gear 5 and C. The full ramifications of allowing your zoan fruit to take over your body/psyche like that
