No one is bothered by this development because they “hate women.” They’re just frustrated with what they think makes Luffy less special, but honestly that’s exactly what I like about it. I loved Nika as a transformation—from the power set to the look and thematic idea behind it, but I was always bothered by how it retconned what Luffy’s fruit was. What was unique about One Piece as a Shonen was that the protagonist was this relatively weak guy with a silly ability and he somehow made it work and get him so far—just through sheer creativity and will power. Nika suddenly recontexualized that and made him this “god” like figure who always had destiny on their side. By making Nika more than just him, it’s almost completely fixed my issues with it as a concept.

I still have mixed feelings about it but I think not giving the next few chapters a chance to play out will be an L for people overly hating rn.

Imagine calling it quits after 1118 chapters
Just came to the realization that the arcs I hate are only due to the pacing in the anime and not the arc itself.
When I watch One Pace or read the manga I fall in love again.

That's what im saying, like why all lying lol

Yea that's kinda of a plot hole because strong haki should be able to burst through those strings but I'll let that one slide
I'm still so confused on that reboot that was announced a while ago when this isn't even over yet. Did we ever get any updates or leaks about that
And I could totally see Oda pulling a Kirkman Walking Dead with this and just ending it surprisingly. No big announcement, no drawing it out, just business as usual and then in one chapter they find the one piece and that's it... I remember people and youtubers speculating and talking about "we're only 60%" or 80% and guessing we could possibly have another decade to go. The "final saga" discussions we're having now still don't feel real. I can't believe we're almost to the end
Where tf is laboon
This rewatch making me aware of all plot holes
