That theory always felt Marvel-esque to me and I think Oda got the God’s Knight covered with Figarland on the spread. I wouldn’t put any stock on silhouette design especially in this show.

I think if you’re looking at the speech as a call to action like the two previous ones it gets more sensible. Roger in the beginning, WB in the middle and VP at the end of the story. Oda wanted to set the stage for the war/race for the OP and some lore drops was needed but anymore should be left to future arcs.

I do think the speech is structured for casual readers who might’ve not picked up on the nuances like we who follow this s*** fr do. He’s done this before with literal recaps of past arcs on chapters.
