It's like the perfect set up too. I skipped the anime fillers but always caught the beginning of them at the end of the last canon episode. The whole Where did Nami and Luffy go at the end of the last chapter was like the textbook way to start post arc filler

Fishman island wasn’t bad but definitely kinda drawn out and boring in some spots. Definitely picks up a bit toward the end too. Big Mom tease was cool and she seems kinda terrifying. I’m hoping she lives up to that lol. Overall decent for a strawhat reintroduction arc

If you haven't already I think this would be a good time to start looking at the manga as you watch

Don't even have to read every chapter if watching is what you prefer right now, just thinking referencing now and then at the very least could be rewarding for your progression through the story

I'll always love the anime because it's how I got into OP and it really brings the world to life for me especially through the voice acting and music

But the manga is essential since it's the source material, wish I was reading as I was watching or even just reading at certain points but I'll save all of that for when OP ends

The arc after Punk Hazard is probably Toei's low point when it comes to pacing and animation so picking up the manga where you're at rn is definitely a good idea

Also if you haven't already you're at the perfect point in the series to pick up One Pace - you have to download it but it's something that people put together that cuts out as much in episode filler as possible. I've never used it but I always read great things about it

The anime is in a really good place right now too so eventually you'll be eating by being able to read and watch that new new weekly
