i could understand if you watched the anime version and thought it sucked because of the pacing, but idk i really love the interactions between the crew, the dynamics of the games, and the whole carnival scenery with dumb souvenirs

i've seen people b****ing about the cheating in the game like the foxy crew isn't in control of the games already so even if the straw hats did try to one-up them they'd lose

or the fact that foxy himself is annoying, which imo couldn't be farther from the truth when you compare him to somebody like wapol or satori

i did hear wapol gets better though and i kinda wanna see how he ends up with his toy factory and all lol

Started a re-read . Just finished Arlong Park. That Nami moment still hits hard. Also crazy how early Fishman Island is mentioned in like Chp 15

man the dialogue is sooooooo sharp this time around usopp is taking that s*** personally because his biggest contribution to the group is being taken away from him…dude tried standing up for himself and for the crew and he still got put down like that. i can’t help but feel bad for him even if it’s all a misunderstanding

my god this series is f***ing amazing

edit nah nah when usopp hits luffy with the fire star and the merry starts “crying”

Sanji stepping in when Luffy is about to tell Ussopp he can just leave if he wants, is still one of my favorite moments in the series.
