The entire “I grieve different” is meant to be taken tongue and cheek. It’s meant to be self centred sounding. That’s the point. It sets up the end when he says “everybody grieves different”… that moment dismantles the idea that he’s somehow special because he thinks he grieves in unique ways when he doesn’t. The subtext of the entire song is that blaming your actions on you “grieving different” is lacking in accountability. That’s the point.

There’s no f***ing way you’re serious. You actually sound serious. I thank GOD I’m not as dumb as some people. I don’t have to tell u why you’re wrong. Even people who were agreeing with u do not agree with this because it’s so blatant
