Album went straight to the recycle bin after one listen

The real question is side a or side B?
Side B is more real and hits hard but I go back to Side A tracks more

Elaborate on "more real", like more personal you mean?
Yeah, I still listen every once and a while. Definitely play other albums from 2022 more, but its a good album.

More serious, personal topics like on Mother I Sober and Auntie diaries
Can you guys talk about why you didnt like that album, really interested to know

Why is your name is cigarettes those can give cancer
Yes I do
I just played it through last week and was just as impressed as the first listen
@Scratchin_Bandit would you link your Mr morale thoughts thread (tried searching for it here and on google and couldn't find it), one of my favorite threads ever and would be cool to revisit now that it's about to be a year since release
I played it yesterday and it slapped.
Tbh when it first came out I thought it was a really good concept executed poorly with lackluster production.
But after a couple relistens and hearing what others liked about it, it clicked with me and now I think it’s my favorite Kendrick album.

Album has pretty much no bars. I don't mean IG caption quotables, but like clever wordplay. 4:44 is pretty much the same subject matter and concept, but Jay was still able to show off his skills as a rapper. This is missing from Mr Morale
I don't feel like Kendrick really took responsibility for the cheating. At first he deflects with humor, at the end his mother's sexual abuse and slavery is the reason behind him cheating on his wife
The messaging is just a mess. He doesn't want to be heralded as a savior, but he's wearing a crown of thorns on the cover and in performances after
Noname was 100% right, Cole and Kendrick both look dumb in how they chose to respond to her
Some of the songs just isn't enjoyable music. I have no desire to ever listen to We Cry Together, Aunties Diaries or Mother I Sober
