for Quelle Chris definitely check out Being You Is Great..., it's one of the best albums of the last decade (for me on par with TPAB tbh) and I actually made a thread about it at some point here. Other great albums from him are Everything's Fine and Guns

OME's one great album is of course Brick Body Kids, although I liked Component System too. his earlier albums are good musically but literally nothing to keep me there

Beautiful! Bumped multiple of his albums after I first heard this new one. Was a great experience. Might give lyrical rap more of a go.

i wouldn't even say lyrical though I guess compared to mumble stuff yea

to me it's more just like witty and real and comes from true experiences and a love of just translating his experiences musically and the result being different conceptual albums that paint a picture.

what was ur favorite album of his? aand what'd ya think of this new one.

A lot of his bars are like comedy I realize. I didn’t use to get that initially but I grew up on a lot of rap with comedy elements so when it hit, it felt like being in tune with some of those old artists from back in the day like aes rock or das racist.

This is slightly insane but he shouts out das racist on one of the tracks I think which I wasn’t expecting at all. Kool AD from that group has gotten meTOOd I think and I remember he had at least four different instances where he’d been accused of SA though he never got charged as far as I’m aware. He did apologize tho more or less I guess implying it was true. Das Racist as a group have generally been pegged with some murky stuff around women but I guess it’s only Kool AD who straight up got accused of full blown SA. On that note he also shouted out f***ing busdriver. Another former collaborator of his who got cancelled for the same reasons as Kool AD. Those parts caught me off guard.

My fav project of his in the past was always brick body kids still daydream which I used to be slightly in love with back in 2018/2019. I still think it’s great but I don’t think any of his more recent albums have been weak. His last two have been both especially great imo but anime trauma divorce is prolly good too. Would be easier to tell after more listens.

His early stuff like dark comedy is great. I randomly realized what the hook on qualifiers was talking about and I thought it was f***ing hilarious. Also shout out that Hannibal Burress verse on Doug Stamper, will never not be legendary. Glad dude is getting into rap, he be funny af sometimes honestly 🤣

Eh but yeah. I haven’t peeped dark comedy enough to say. Will keep you posted on my journey

Yeah that’s what I was saying. He goes by eshu tune now I think. I genuinely don’t think he’s a bad rapper tho. It seems like he’s just translating his comedy skills into his rap verses. It kinda works I think.

Nah I’ve heard him a million times (as a comedian) and I instantly knew it was him. Took me a minute to remember he adopted the rap name ‘eshu tune’

Hearing his frequent appearances on backwoods acts and then finding his YouTube content by chance and putting two and two together threw me for a loop and idk why.
