Hmmm. That’s a good point. 🤔 The stakes of Oppenheimer’s security clearance felt a bit small potatoes, well said.
Yeah he not going to get arrested but the stakes are still reasonable because without his security clearance we are lead to believe no one can really dissuade them from the dangers of stock piling Nukes they all gung ho
The only thing I remember from Elementary school about Einstein was that he was really really autistic. So, it’s weird seeing him out and about and s***.

Did y’all hear that scream during the gym celebration scene? Like when it was dead silent?

When he was hallucinating? I think the scream was supposed to be like bomb going off there

Scared the s*** out of me
Bruh was thinking of his screaming child with bombs going off
scene where Florence pugh riding oppy in the middle of the testimony room was surprisingly surreal, didn't expect nolan to do stuff like that. easily my favorite parts of the movie.
Felt like something David Lynch would do
They wanted shoot outs and car chases
Vin Diesel with corny lines and the Rock's stupid stare
That scene where Oppenheimer was giving that speech to those group of people was super intense
I was backing up in my seat scared s***less when that was happening
I just reviewed Oppenheimer
!https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GYMUtsaCj3cHow many times did you watch it?
While I do agree the film went on too long after the bomb was detonated I do think the last act had some important character stuff
Big time. Showing the fall back and especially how Oppenheimer reacted and how he was attacked by the government for doing the right thing, which was try not to use the bomb again or go with the H bomb, was huge.
Maybe I am overrating this but I honestly think this movie was incredible. In Nolan's films, I have this top 2.
Didn't understand the purpose of the black and white shots throughout.
Those shots were from Strausses point of view and of how the scientists that worked with Oppie didn't go against him.
Also I didn't see a need for a close look at the Japan bombings. I think Nolan not including that was a smart (and tasteful) choice. Seeing the test showed us the raw power of the bomb, and we saw Oppenheimer's view of the bombings and their aftermath. We all know what happened, no need to show it on screen to realize its impact. We saw the creation and aftermath through Oppenheimer's eyes.
Plus this movie is on OPPENHEIMER! Not the f***ing bomb lol
He did in a way with how he saw the people melting and the burnt body in that vision/episode while he was giving the speech. Great choice I agree
I’m saying did i watch the same movie as these people? I loved everything about this. It felt magical
They wanted more explosions, jokes, etc.
Exactly
People saying we needed to see that s*** are unhinged
They were expecting an action movie because they thought it was about the bomb. No. It was about the man.
Incredible movie, every actor killed it
So happy to see Rami in there aswell
Rami Malek and Dane Dehaan killed their roles
rarely do movies linger onto me the day after seeing them in theaters, but here we are
This is the only time a movie has lingered with me after so long
Emily Blunt's acting when Kitty was getting questioned was great. RDJ was awesome, Cilian was obviously awesome. Loved it. Dialogue heavy but such an amazing star studded cast but this doesn't compromise the story at all, everyone is there to play their role to support the story. No one is doing it like Nolan
Dane Dehaan >>>
