How does this thread feel about nightmare alley? I tried watching it but fell asleep I thought it looked really good but that was it
Still gotta watch West Side and Belfast before I can decide on best picture but so far my personal pick is Coda. Idk if it’s popular enough to win tho
When I first saw the movie I really thought "man, this is gonna sweep the academy" but the movie flew under the radar for some reason
I’m so f***ing sick of substitute teacher movies. If I watch another one I’ll puke. I almost put it on cause it’s on HBO Max and Will Smith might win but ya know what, I should just manage my time better.
What does this term mean? Substitute teacher movies. Like movies about a fish outta water character type thing?
French Dispatch to me is a perfect representation of high art melding with entertainment value to make something thoroughly watchable. Every Wes Anderson movie is. If we wanna speak to a new generation of film makers, it needs to be there. Not Belfast.
I f*** with your film opinions you got a Letterboxd?

Maybe going to Apple TV was the wrong move? I’m sure it would of been more popular on Netflix, plus it didn’t really have any well known actors
