If we are being real, it’s Greta’s fault
bc why ken got a big arc and a 5 minute dance routine? Margot had nothing to real work with
if she had a monologue while that billie song was playing she would’ve gotten a nom

As long as we get Ryan Gosling performing "I'm Just Ken" live at the Oscars we all win

Probably Anette Benin’s for Nyad. I liked the movie but was surprised to see her and Foster over Margot, Portman, Julianne

I thought Bening was fantastic. Haven’t seen May December yet but I wouldn’t say Bening over Robbie was some criminal snub

Yeah not sure about that. I’m not saying it’s bad. I just think it’s so overrated that it’s almost funny at this point.

Solid one time watch nothing to die for. Great experience. I definitely feel it could have learned more into the horror elements . Again without showing hiroshima or Nagasaki. The end focus being the trial and his ego leaning more towards "Oppenheimer realized when it was too late" which is similiar to Einsteins letter to president saying they needed it to defeat Hitler. All could have landed just a bit better for me.

Nigga real ones are already having that conversation and have from the beginning. That isn't to say Margot Robbie is "bad" but there is something infantilized about her throughout the movie similiar to a Wonder Woman of a isekai coming to a new world. There is just a disconnect there . Then combine that with the ending its really jarring . The entire experience. Because Barbie is learning what it is to be a woman from non white women that are used in an odd way too.

The entire plot is all over the place and rather than constructively critique it in anyway people immediately were like "you hate women think about what this means for little girls and feminism" . There are so many potential ways it could have been more than an ad for mattlel and merch for shirts and hoodies. That it showed the modern day women experience had fun with it instead the focus became "we are putting her back in barbie land we are mattel hahaha get it cause we made the movie"

    you f***ing get it bro.

I also just like idk. It felt cold and very laboratory, as if these people only existed within the confines of each scene. Like it sounds weird but I can’t imagine any of the characters taking s***s lol like they felt super robotic. And I know Nolan loves his melodrama and all that but it just didn’t hit for me. I will most likely never watch again. Fun IMAX experience though

I will 100% never watch it again in my entire life. I mean we don't need to see them s*** but there is a level of drama to everything where sometimes some humanity would help . That is a personal preference kind of thing though.

Oppenheimer rewatch at home was fantastic

It's the best movie of the 2020s and the first film since The Irishman I'd call a masterpiece

it is well above and beyond any other nominee here
