Maybe not the best/greatest (although i think it is) but it is a flawless discography
Southernplayalistic - The coming out party. A perfect blend of their youth and highlights what they are about at 19 years old representing 90's Atlanta Perfectly
ATLiens - The Big Boi Leaning project. Still rooted in Atlanta but a little space age pimping thrown in to show some of the direction to come. Highlights them wrestling with new found fame and their previous life
Aquemini - The perfect blend of Big Boi and Andre project - both sides get to bring their particular styles and meld them together as they become monster super stars. Tons of southern representation but they introduction of wild experimental sounds
Stankonia - The Andre leaning project - Still has a sense of traditional southern hip hop but they wild craziness is ratcheted up to 10 as they go all in on being experimental and not fitting in a box
Speakerboxx/The Love Below - 2 completely individual albums but supported by each other and under the Outkast umbrella - both got the opportunity to make the album that they wanted 100% but still work wiht each other throughout the process
I do not consider Idlewild an Outkast album as it is definitely just a soundtrack but even the fact the last Outkast song officially released is titled "A Bad Note" is unbelievably poetic. Outkast literally finished on A Bad Note whether i like it or not...
There is nothing i would rather have happen in music than another Outkast album but if i'm being honest no matter how great it could be it would still tarnish their discography/legacy because of how perfect it is currently
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
Easier if you retire earlier
5 albums is still a ton of work. How many artist have 5 albums that are at least 8/10 ?
Idlewild isn't that bad anyway
I agree but its miles below the other projects

Yeah it's like a bad SB/TLB
Kanye better
But yes Outkast is on that level. All great tapes, all exploring different sounds.

Kanye is the only discography in the same ball park and because of the longevity his is probably the greatest but he's got some serious misfires throughout. Outkast was A+ from start to finish

serious misfires
end of transmission
This like thinking Tom Brady's Super Bowl losses are worse than not getting there at all
HOV, Ye, Nas still better
serious misfires
end of transmission
I like all of Ye's albums but JIK and Ye are not anywhere close to his other projects or any of Outkast's

Misses throughout?
He got to 7 without a miss. 8 if you include WTT
Outkast could’ve kept going too. Big Boi still had the juice with Sir Lucious Left Foot but idk about Andre. He was still giving great feats but I can’t say he still had it in him to make a great record cuz we didn’t see it.

in my opinion TLOP was a minor slip but he caught himself but a sign of things to come
Ye the nigga lost his balance all the way
JIK was him on the ground in shambles
Donda is him starting to get back on his feet but not all the way there yet
before TLOP he was doing backflips, cartwheels, front flips all type of s*** with ease
