    If you start including jazz artists the list gets pretty crazy

    I dont think you can put Jazz greats in the same box as modern music. It would be like putting classical artist in the same box. Its just a totally different art form

    JIK ain’t a Super Bowl loss. That s***’s a 5-11 season and a top five draft pick

    pretty accurate

    Aquemini still one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever made

    That’s rewarding Outkast for retiring though. Fact that Kanye’s streak went longer than their entire run gives him the edge imo even if there was a decline past the streak. Total work beats the ratio when they both had long classic runs.

    Fair

    This like thinking Tom Brady's Super Bowl losses are worse than not getting there at all

    HOV, Ye, Nas still better

    Why did people forget Jay was dropping straight trash for like 8 years?

    wym modern? like what time period

    i mean you did say "all music" so and i see the point but it is still in the "popular music" box like the other genres not like classical where the format of releases is way different with the composers, conductors etc.

    Thread made me try to think of a discog longer than like an album or two without duds across genres and I honestly couldn’t. OutKast has to be up there even with Idlewild, which is still damn good in its own right.

    Man even a 3peat is super hard to pull off without throwing a 6 or 7 in there somewhere

    This is actually a pretty legit take. Super Fly...No but Purple Rain... yes...why?

    They are both also movie soundtracks

    Daft Punk, isn’t tribe technically 3 people?

    All of outkasts albums are great
    Only 6-7/10 Kanye albums are great

    OutKast wins by this ratio

    Exactly, Ye has more volume of greatness overall but the percentage isn't close. Outkast is literally 100% greatness

    Reasonable Doubt and Blue Print

    Illmatic and It Was Written

    Nothing else comes close to any of the Outkast albums

    Even if you wanted to try and sneak in Vol 2 HKL Jay is still getting snuffed 5-3

    Jays misses are BP2, KC, & MCHG (BP3 is solid 7/10)

    After each miss he dropped a great album.
    BP2 -> Black Album
    KC -> AG
    MCHG ->4:44

    Ain’t no 8 years straight

    Reasonable Doubt
    The Blueprint
    Black Album
    American Gangster
    4:44

    over ANY Outkast album

    i don't think it's fair to act like Idlewild doesn't count, i don't think it is just a soundtrack at all. never saw the movie but apparently only 7 songs were even in it and Big Boi said "This is an OutKast album. It isn't like a soundtrack where we go get this person or that person"

    i dont think its bad or anything just okay where the other albums are amazing or god level

    I guess an easier classification would be instrumental vs music with lyrics? That would take most of the Jazz and Classical greats out fo the equation
