Dr Dre, Lil Wayne, Tupac, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar and MANY MORE have all accepted help writing songs but when Drake does it now he's got "ghostwriters" all over his credits booklet.

The fact that he's held to such a high standard is exactly why he's the top MC of our time.

dr dre has been known to not write his raps.

And nobody is trying to call him a top 10 lyricist lol.

And who are you claiming wrote for Pac or Kenny?

lol show concrete proof he wrote for wayne.

There's multiple multiple multiple sources that confirmed thay throughout the years.

    How old are you?

You're trying to dispute something thats been concrete for years.
Literally claiming Gillie isn't "punchline heavy".
Gillie is known for his lines to be very Wayne-ish. Rapping whole scenarios for 3-4-5 bars with all punchlines.

I DO think Wayne is better than his Gillie songs but... its been known

If we’re talking about EMCEEs, I don’t think hits/sales/numbers can be part of the argument

Yup. It was never proven but basically every rap GOAT has had whispers of having ghostwriters from B.I.G. to 2Pac to Eminem to Jay Z to Nas.

He's still top ten if you omit this.

No one is spitting better than Drake on Two Birds One Stone, Is There More, Omertà, 4PM, 5AM, Barry Bonds Freestyle, 9am,

He's been spitting for over a decade on this level.

The Ghostwriting conspiracy is wild because he's explained it plenty of times, and told y'all the rap records that he's written 100% of them.

    Like he's TOLD YALL This

And people just...ignore it lol it's not like he can't rap just because he's experimenting with different writers.

as far as greatness he will go down as top 10 off of accomplishments alone. not the biggest fan of his but you'll be ignorant not to put him on your top 10. sales, influence, rapping ability, and hits.

  • SUPER RED

He has 0 substance and only raps about relationships with the depth of high school flings and recently began to rap about sending empty threats to his imaginary ops

OP deleted my post and I’m reposting again 😐😐😐

This one of my issues with Drake tbh. I try not to let it get to me too much but this recent rapping about catching bodies, sending shots and spinning blocks is kinda lame.

lol honestly a lot of people don't realize what goes on behind the scenes of many rappers. even the most lyrical rappers aren't constructing a song from the ground up. there is a team making the beat, hook and even apart of the melody.

  • May 12, 2020

I think is time for drake’s fans to stop engaging in these silly debates, with idiots that will never respect drake achievements. His impact on culture is vivid, from his impact on new artists using melodies in rap etc

    I mean not always.

Like for instance, almost all of Drake's hit records have been penned by him. They may have been arranged / worked on by other people, but the lyrics by in large were him.

And that's per him. I'm not there, none of us are. So if that's what he said happens then that's what he said happens lol he was asked directly about this multiple times including the rap radar joint with B Dot, and he gave people the answer. It just wasn't the answer people were hoping for tbh lol

I think the reality is that he writes is on s*** for the most part and is constantly listening to Demo's, ideas, etc. that he uses to influence where he's trying to take a record, and depending on where the record goes, he uses x amount of material from the demo. This answer is a lot less sensationalized, but it's 'probably' what goes on.
