    Synopsis

    His rapping ability is subpar

He’s on par with Cole lyrically, in fact none of his so called pairs from this generation bodied on songs they’ve featured on.

I actually disagree tbh. Drake is great with words, different flows, entendres and can pen a catchy melody out of thin air. He's overrated and underrated at the same time when it comes to his rapping ability. I prefer Kendrick as a rapper though

He's better than Cole imo, more consistent and has more quotables

I mean being a storyteller and songwriter can be apart of being a great rapper. look at Biggie. Drake can tell stories

not like Kendrick but def has the skill

True, I'm just saying Kendrick doesn't drop too many quotables because he's more focused on piecing together songs that go with a concept in mind and expressing his emotions,Drake is more into dropping catchy lines and punchlines here and there as well as double entendres

I just don't think you've heard many rappers if you think drake is anything good from just a rapping perspective

I just don't think you've heard many rappers if you think drake is anything good from just a rapping perspective

i don't care about complex rap, i care about dope songwriters, that make relatable song format. like jay said 'Cause the nigga wear a kufi, it don't mean that he bright
'Cause you don't understand him, it don't mean that he nice
It just means you don't understand all the bullshit that he write'.

Even though i do understand, i don't care for those types of rap, music is entertainment to me and escapism. i'll read a book or do my research if i need to learn s***

Top 10 is not debatable, in fact, top 5 not really debatable at this point.

I can understand people will have their preferences and might have someone else at #1 but personally I don't think there is a better songwriter/rapper in hip hop, ever.

That lyrical miracle bullshit got played out when Drake put top tier bars with top tier melodies, it was a wrap.

Sometimes I listen to rap when I was younger, mid-late 90s to 2000s and while I have a lot of nostalgia it is clear they can't really compare. It's like watching 1950s NBA players vs NBA players now.

Maybe hes too surface level / shallow?

"I like when money makes a difference but don't make you different
Started realizing a couple places I could take it
I want to get back to when I was that kid in the basement
I want to take it deeper than money, p****, vacation
And influence a generation that's lacking in patience"

    And nothing has changed

Hes still my fave tho lol
