will Overwatch 2 revive the game? does Overwatch's multiplayer need to focus TDM or some other mode to keep players wanting more?

Nah, OW2 is gonna be a mediocre PvE and take resources from the actual game. They gotta add new s*** more often, not even heroes but maps, events, skins, balance ECT.
The game can never be balanced but at least new s*** can make it interesting. I actually thought role que and hero bans were a step in the right direction and role que specifically saved the game for me but since then ita minimal changes
Also TDM would be the worst mode for this game. Maybe 5v5 or new game modes would be great but this is a team focused game. They can't stray from that

TDM already exists as a sub-game mode, or at least it was last i played. The best that they can do to keep the game alive is to keep adding stuff like you said. I disagree on the PvE, if it turns out decent i feel like that will help on the casual side of things as well. Competitive scene is doomed tho imo

I have to wait 10 minutes to play dps and am in plat because of s***ty teammates.

I juat lost a match as a tank to a pharah because both dps didn't FEEL like playing hitscan, meaning I had to dive her at every chance I get, and she bad a pocket mercy.

I can't stand this role queue bullshit

next season they're adding open queue to competitive (you can still queue for locked 2-2-2 if you want)

This is what I'm hoping for, becauze I am better as a flex. I can play dps but my calling is f***ing up the other team or boosting and supporting my teammates

So having a third dps, third tank is fine and it helps show who's trying to get the W and add some flexible roles

open queue was always fun but hopefully there isn’t as much throwers as before

We'll see, the closed queue still has throwers, had a doomfist throw fhe game and then when we're about to win, pulled the plug at the last second and we lost without him and never came back
