yea i guess so bro. Hereditary is pushing 2 hours and no one says its "too long." expositional monologue to me, was used so cheaply in this movie as a "this is what my movie is about" button.

entirely lost interest as the plot machinations got hella convoluted through a poorly written thesis.

    all fax

this is like when chrysler made that one car that looked just like a bentley

I always saw it for what it could've been...

For people comparing this to Hereditary.. its not even on the same league. Hereditary is 2 hrs of pure dread and terror.

Hereditary is watertight and f***ing terrifying lol

Easily the most well structured, paced and outright evil horror movie I’ve ever seen

i was just tryna understand how Hereditary isn't seen as long and drawn out, but you givin this movie the third act exposition pass because youre concerned about runtime

I am not lol people tend to be but also Hereditary has a completely different way the plot goes and is a totally different movie. Idk why people compare it to that when it is clearly different. This deals with an FBI agent hunting a serial killer & Hereditary deals with a family and their household turmoil.

I am not giving it a pass not sure what makes you think that. It’s how Oz chose to end the movie if you think it is lazy then cool. Idk why people hate expo dumps because they can be well done sometimes. I just don’t see an issue with it and I think this movie is great as is. Personal nitpicking aside off my second tike viewing it I enjoyed it even more and will continue to down the road.

Not everybody is going to love it clearly this will have it’s following and that’s that.

having the comfort character of the movie be involved in the ending like that was pretty unsettling and good writing imo

Hereditary is literally the exact same level of highly enjoyable mid as this, you guys are smoking dust. They’re practically mommy issue double features

Hereditary is for people whose deepest fear is a kinda tough dinner convo with their parents. Longlegs is for people scared they got molested by their mom’s weird friend

So that atmosphere of the movie, the unexpected humor, it all felt great for the genre of the film

But gah damn there's a few holes that need to be filled a bit

Some s*** didn't make sense to me at all but the vibes of the movie had me wrapped up

I was on edge pretty much to the end and s*** fell flat

I assume it's your perception and how you wanna look at it but it's a few ways I think it could have "ended"

I'll probably give it another watch some time down the road

    Acting was on point.

I don't think anything was more foretelling than telling you he has a wife and daughter 2 seconds after revealing the killings

That's the thing it's already connections made early on in the movie to where it's no type of surprise when s*** goes down.

It’s a movie about how we don’t have freewill, so we should have empathy for everyone
You could be mad at Peter for his mistake
Or you could realize that we’re all victims to our genetics and surroundings
Peep what the teacher is talking about in Peter’s English class

I'll probably do a rewatch by myself in the dark to see if it makes me feel different than in the theatre with other peoples reactions around me

By the end when harker visits the bday party, people were reacting to some of the dialogue like "youll still be in the kitchen" lol and I felt like that distracted me from some of the potential feeling of that scene
