also rvi tried to put me onto that black sabbath album with the evil baby on the cover and im still too scared
do it its good
nah it’s a solid album
top 3
is this some rym cult im missin on
No its just how it feels after overplaying the s*** out of the first half dozen albums for alot of years. Sabotage maybe doesn't hit hardest on first listen but it has the most replay value in the long run thanks to all those bonkers arrangements and unexpected moments. don't feel like Ozzy ever sang better, don't think geezer ever wrote better and don't think iommi ever focused so much on being creative over being heavy.
I find it hard to believe any establishment selling alcohol would refuse Lemmy’s service

mmmm ill revisit it but prod seems odd from what i recall
hopefully by that logic sometime soon or later y’all get burned out in pet sounds and surfs up and appreciate more the later 70s beach boys material

Surf's Up is their Sabotage tho
At least to the older generations

I don’t like the rest of the album as much as I like this song but Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are generally underrated.

production not weird at all for me really
i think its some of their best and most interesting writing (besides am i going insane lol). all the aspects and slightly progressive tendencies they first tried on SBS are only improved on Sabotage imo. the heaviest parts are some of their heaviest, and the softest parts are some of their prettiest. absolute peak ozzy vocals as well
also secretly the best sabbath album lyrically/thematically
ofc i can understand not thinking its one of their best but IMO its solidly a member of their godly run and its criminal when someone leaves it out
