Would be dope if it's a mix of korean and american cast like a lot of bong movies
True possibly I realized it sounded negative let me explain . To me a lot of the fun of parasite was the lost in translation moments or audience reading subtitles . Straightforward without the subtitles Parasite is what Us was trying to do but better
only the real gonna last.
glad this movie is getting so much acclaim and hype. sign of the times, hopefully
aight now that he swept the oscars it’s time to start hating now cause he too popular right guys?
bong joon ho?
I don’t watch that mainstream s*** only real art
Who tf is bong June hoe
tf is this anime ass s***. Parasite was just a Korean remake of us
it’s accessible because it’s good, not the other way around
So by your logic this is the only good Korean film?
What was the reason for the son and the rich daughter relationship
The dream of inheriting the house
Marry up to the rich and take over is basically what he was hoping for. That would keep them tied to the house longer than just working there

but why the age difference ? i think it was clearly he was of age and she was underage?

It was inappropriate Ik but he did say he was gonna wait till she was 18 to pursue further
That was the plan of the original tutor (his friend) too. Don’t know why exactly but maybe an obstacle of time
I watched this extremely late so the hype instilled a certain expectation for me, and even with that expectation set i left the movie satisfied.
I personally prefer The Lighthouse over it but it definitely was one of the best movies to come out 2019
and it deserved it’s best picture win
Finally watched this. An absolute masterpiece. I love everything about it. Brilliant from start to finish. Felt so many emotions. Finally a best picture winner that didn’t pander to the academy.

where did I say that?
where did I say I was talking ALL Korean films?
re-read what I said.
I’m talking about THIS one.
reading is fundamental

So now you agree with the initial statement of it being praised for being the most accessible korean movie? I understand you're saying it's good because it is accessible but so are other countless korean movies.
& there's something called inference.

something can be true about one thing & not another
not everything is in absolutes
KTT acts like everything is black & white and gray areas can’t exist
Why is this film the most successful despite there being other good Korean films?
Maybe this was funded more?
Maybe Boon Jong Ho had the right connections?
Maybe this is the first Korean film that actually bothered to spend money to market in America?
Maybe this particular film appeals to a western audience more for some reason?
I don’t know.
There are a million reasons why one good film can blow up but not another good film.
Either way, every person along it’s journey saw it & thought it was a masterpiece worth a push, otherwise it would not have recieved this acclaim.
So yes, it’s accessible because it’s good, not the other way around.
