properI know the chapaghetti w sirloin scene has something to do w/symbolic for the rich mixing w the poor or something like that but don’t know how to expand further on this idea though
instant noodles are cheap af and sirloin/beef in general is super expensive in Korea
that’s surface level or whatever but I’m sure it’s something more to it than just that I could just be really high right now tho
edit: also any other Korean ktt fam get their minds blown when she put Hanwoo quality beef into that chapaghetti? the whole time in my mind I was like “where they do that at?” Lol
Maybe how non chalant the use of the expensive meat was to them? Like oh just throw it in with some ramen. And then no one even really ate it lol.

obvs that’s what the point of the scene was but I thought it was more to it than just that. like something only ppl in Korea might fully be able to understand like the references to the Taiwanese castella cake business.

It was a nod that the family is “extra” to the point of fabrication. Ramen is typically a poor persons food but everybody(especially children) loves ramen. Mrs. Park made up a dish (Ram-Don) because she couldn’t stand her child eating like a commoner. I assumed it was made up because the mom had no clue wtf “Ram-Don” even was. At least that’s what I got from it.

Finding a copy to download shouldn’t be much harder than finding a link to stream. But you should really support them by watching in a theatre. Catch a morning matinee showing bro!
