Saw it in theaters today. Loved it. Park is so good at noir man. I'd say its def in the top half of the works i've seen from him

Also extremely happy to see Tang Wei shine. Not sure if yall have seen "Lust, Caution" or are aware of her ban... but she's worked her ass off and became versatile with her language ability to get roles in other nations/regions. I've only seen her in like 3 films and she's spoken i think 4 languages: Mandarin, Shanghainese, Cantonese and Korean. I'm pretty sure she learned the latter 3 all for her career/roles

ngl I wanted him to find her and have the happy ending so bad, when he was standing over her without knowing all I could think about was how tragic it all was

yea the ending left me speechless but I can appreciate that choice. We got a really powerful scene out of it. But I don't like how she did all that to bring him back to her only to take her life so she can become an unresolved case for him. I guess she was really broken too..
