Lol I was at Sundance wit the homies and we was doing a little photo shoot of me.

We was on Main Street where all the stores and s*** is. So we’re posting up by this restaurant doing the pics And all sudden QT comes out the restaurant with some young blonde chick and the homie was like “oh cool that’s QT”….Not loud, he kinda just said it to himself. But I guess he heard and was like “nah no paparazzi guys I’m not taking pics today”

Idk if he was tryna show off for the chick or what but I took offense to it and was like “nigga no one taking pics of you tf? We doing a shoot of me rn”

Not even just me the other homie too was like “fuck outta here bro”

And he was like “oh s*** my mistake guys carry on” and did the hang loose 🤙🏽 gesture. Jumped in the Uber wit the blondie and drove off.

I honestly don’t get starstruck at all, and that’s why I had the blunt reaction. But looking back in retrospect that was kinda cool being the dude is one my favorite directors. But still don’t call me a damn paparazzi, he ain’t realize he was in the presence of the next QT.

I didn’t know that so I’m really sorry. I just saw it as a bunch of recycled talking points and was confused as to why you were saying them now. I know people whining about “wokeness” is really annoying at this point but Dressed To Kill was probably one of the first films to get that retroactive “it’s actually problematic” discourse earlier in the decade. A lot of this stuff has been hashed over for years now.

yeah you gotta remember even though i am "chronically online" as you like to say i never had twitter, no FB in years, even deleted reddit and all my news apps cause i was sick of hearing about corona and trump. almost went on a road trip in the middle of historic flooding the other day that destroyed every highway into vancouver because i didnt even know anything was going on

somehow avoid all the LB debates you always get in i guess cause if i havent seen the film i just ignore

That sounds great tbh. I’d love to unplug from a lot of this s***. The fact I’m aware of some of this stuff makes me feel silly especially when trying to explain it to people offline.

this is one of those movies where your mind just gets like this really nice high off of living in these characters worlds for a brief moment, so lush and sweet

I’m pretty sure that’s Kael’s interpretation of it too. I’m just not interested in overt propaganda though. Anything that’s presented to its audience as truth rather than expression I can’t judge fairly. For example a documentary telling you why we should invade Iraq can’t be judged as art in my opinion.
