How come fam
Lemme see if I can sum this up as best as I can. First of all, I felt like there was 0 chemistry between the two main characters. I never felt a sense of romantic tension between them. I’m not even trippin bout the age gap like other people are. But their relationship was always just jealousy and over possessiveness that randomly drew them back to each other. On top of that, the tone of the movie changed so drastically from scene to scene. Next sentence not reaaally a spoiler (cuz there’s nothing in this movie to spoil) but I’ll spoiler it anyways. One moment the dude is all obsessed with the chick and wants to see her t\*\*\* and the very next scene he wants nothing to do with her. You never see what sparked this. It just. Happens. There are several scenes like that in the movie where you just go from one scene to the next and it’s the most random undeserved transition that leaves you wondering how we got here. Also there was pretty much no plot. I was patient for the first half of the movie and then the second I was just getting annoyed cuz I wanted it to go somewhere interesting. It felt like a string of random scenes stitched together. I like movies with structureless plots, but they have to be done right. So yeah all in all, very unimpressed and idk what people see in this
Man TWBB is really just the greatest thing I’ve ever seen
rewatching a bunch of PTA Xmas day/Boxing Day
“You’re just the after birth Eli…that slithered out of your mothers filth…..they should’ve put you in a jar on the mantelpiece”
How does a guy even write there will be blood. How do you sit down and come up with this. How do you walk around and live life as a guy who made this this movie

regarding your "spoiler" she kept driving home the age difference and I think he just figured maybe she was right so he tried moving on to someone closer to his own age...I don't think they needed to blatantly telegraph why he tried his luck with another girl after striking out with her and being constantly reminded that she was too old for him...in the end no matter how much they tried to push away from each other they kept getting brought back together
Bro the scene where Bradley Cooper threatens to kill Gary's brother got me crying

He was great in his bit role...Sean Penn somehow reminded me of Kurt Russell which I thought I'd never say lol that Cooper scene was fire tho

I get your point. Idk I think the movie overall didn’t sit right with me because it didn’t give me any reason to give a s*** about either of our leads during any point. On top of that, the majority of the scenes had me asking myself “what was the point?” Like what was the point of Bradley Cooper’s character aside from some humor? They just leave his character behind like nothing. Same with introducing Bennie Safdie’s character. I just didn’t appreciate the abruptness of everything if you get me

Damn interesting feedback bro. What structureless films do you like? So I can get a gauge of what might of been off.
The example in the spoiler you gave doesn’t seem tooo bad to me, just because that’s human nature. We contradict ourselves all the time with no solid reason as to why sometimes. So maybe that’s what PTA was going for? Obviously I’m just making a blind assumption and can’t fully weigh in until I see it for myself.
Somebody Please tell me Bradley has a dance scene in this!!!
bro just watch the movie
or move to a better city
